Garnier Micellar Water
I'm sorry Micellar water, I'm just not your biggest fan!
I bought this cleansing water a few weeks ago to try as I figured it would be gentle on my temperamental skin and would be a quick and fuss free way of taking my make-up off at night when I'm feeling too lazy to cleanse properly (which is most of the time!)
I have to be completely honest about this stuff and say I really don't care either way, it sparks no real emotion towards love or hate for me. Yes it takes my make-up off so it does what it says on the tin, but I find that the next morning when I wake up my skin is incredibly oily and shiny and that doesn't happen when I use a cleanser.
Other than the fact that it cleans my make-up off I don't notice any other benefits to this product, it doesn't make any difference in the texture or feel of my skin (other than making it more shiny which admittedly isn't a great quality), so I have to question, what's the point in using it?
I will use up the rest of the bottle seeing as I have it, but I won't be purchasing it again. Sorry Garnier!
How have you got on with this product?

I have the nivea Micellar Water and I find it stings my eyes loads. I mean it does take off the make up well but it just hurts when I take it off! Not a huge fan!

That is not what you want to happen! Stinging eyes shouldn't be part of the deal. Makes me feel better that I'm not the only one who doesn't rate the cleansing water's.
DeleteThanks for the honest review. I heard a lot about micellar water, but still did not try it.
ReplyDeleteI have read a few reviews raving about it, so I was really dissapointed with it. The thing is I'm low maintenance and I don't see the point in using the cleansing water THEN using a cleanser as well, just use one! But the micellar water made my skin greasy so I'll just stick with cleanser.
