It's Time to Pamper | Collab with Laura Loves Beauty

Admittedly I hardly ever pamper myself so when my blogging friend from a-far Laura suggested we do a collaboration on this topic I went a little silent as my mind raced trying to think of the last time I even did a pamper session.....

Awkward, what would I write about?

Then last week suddenly as if the universe was giving me a gentle nudge in the right direction, I had the overwhelming desire to run a bath and just relax. I set about preparing the ultimate relaxing moment by lighting candles, and deciding which products I was going to use.

relaxing bath time

I turned the taps on the bath to start the steady stream of steamy hot water and squidged in some bubble bath, then disappeared off to the kitchen to make a hot chocolate. Once the bath water was nearly ready I crumbled in a Lush french kiss bubble bar to help me unwind.

I used my soap and glory peaches and clean cleanser to wash my face, then smothered "scrub your nose in it" mask all over my skin and hopped in the tub pressing play on my laptop and lay back in amongst the bubbles to watch "Rise of the Guardians". I slipped under the water to soak my hair and lathered up with Herbal Essences Bee Strong shampoo which smells like apricot jam. I then smothered my hair with an argan oil hair mask that I picked up from Tesco for the bargain price of £1!

Now all I had to do was relax and watch the rest of the movie. Every time I do something like this is makes me think I should do it more often, I don't really know why I don't. It was lovely to just lie back in the soothing warm water and drink a hot chocolate, my boyfriend even poked his head in and was a little jealous, after all men can't get away with doing this really can they? It destroys their man points if anyone finds out! ;)

Don't forget to head over and check out Laura's blog to see how she pampers herself. She's fabulous!
